DGTL AMSTERDAM 2017 UNVEILS STAGES & FESTIVAL THEME „MODULARITY“

DGTL has announced the full line up per stage for its 2017 Amsterdam festival. Next to an outstretched selection of the finest in electronic music, this year will hold an overarching theme surrounding the stage plan called „Modularity“.

The ‘Modularity’ theme is based on the various elements of a modular synthesizer – perhaps the most central instrument in dance music other than a drum computer – like input, filter, frequency and amp. The application of the ‘Modularity’ theme to DGTL Amsterdam 2017 will result in each stage, as well as other relevant points on the NDSM terrain, to have its own characteristics in sound but also design and overall feel.

For instance, the entrance to DGTL Amsterdam 2017 will be renamed ‘Input’, while the first stage that visitors will come across is called ‘Generator’, the place where the festival-goers are powered up before they’re let loose, so to speak. Throughout both days, visitors can expect Max Cooper, HVOB [live], Jan Blomqvist [live], as well as Speedy J and Sterac b2b Konstantin at the Generator. Loaded up and ready, visitors can continue their festival trip down to other stages like ‘Filter’ and ‘Frequency’, where acts such as Agoria, Moscoman [live], Midland and Space Dimension Controller [live] will be performing.

The final destination on the map is the ‘Amp’, where the visitor is unleashed as a plenary sound signal. The Amp will function as the co-host stages – Mosaic By Maceo and Dixon Curated over the weekend. Finally, there is the ‘Gain’, which is hosted by Resident Advisor on both days, featuring such artists as Jennifer Cardini, Matrixxman, Sandrien and Willow. Those that want to escape the sonic wilderness of the festival can find peace in the ‘Mute’ area.

All these different stages combined form and reinforce the key pillars and values of DGTL, like originality and quality, resulting in a truly immersive festival experience that sends a clear and positive message of innovation and sustainability at the same time.

Tickets for DGTL Amsterdam 2017 are on sale now and available at www.dgtl.nl.
