The world’s most famous DJs are hugely impressed by their own faces.
Especially for Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) artist „STALE“ painted spectacular portraits of Hardwell, Dash Berlin, Nicky Romero, Showtek, Dyro, Ferry Corsten and Wildstylez. Six of the paintings from this series were displayed at the Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF) in the Panorama Lounge, last weekend in the Amsterdam ArenA.
Wildstylez is full of admiration for his portrait; „Speechless when I saw this piece of art by STALE for the first time! Feeling thankful and honored he chose me!“
Dash Berlin loves it; “Music is Art and Art is Music, STALE has blown me away with his impressive art. Knowing that he listened to my music while painting this epic painting makes it even more special.“
And that is exactly what the Amsterdam artist “STALE” does. He gets inspired by the music of each artist he immortalizes. STALE describes his style as „figurative dripping.“ The self-developed acrylic mix features a crystal clear effect, which makes colors sharp and intense. STALE throws and splashes this mix literally on the canvas, thereby creating original and surprisingly realistic portraits with explosive energy dripping from his huge canvas works. This innovative artist knows how to conquer the art world.
All artists who came by to see their pieces of art in the Amsterdam ArenA, Hardwell (DJ MAG position 2), Dash Berlin (DJ MAG position 15), Dyro (DJ MAG position 27) Showtek (DJ MAG position 37), and Wildstylez (DJ MAG 2014 position 95), are extraordinary honored and think the exhibition is impressive.
Until the end of November, the paintings are in STALE’s atelier at the Houtmankade 97 in Amsterdam.
