MOROCCO’S OASIS FESTIVAL ADDS MORE ACTS FOR 2024

Joy Orbison, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Driss Bennis, GЯEG and Toccororo join the lineup for the Moroccan festival’s 8th edition, with more acts still to be announced.

Oasis Festival reveals the second wave of acts lined up for the festival’s 8th edition, which takes place from 6-8 September 2024 at The Source in Marrakech.
 
Today, the second wave of new artists are added to an impressive bill for Oasis Festival 2024, joining previously announced acts including the legendary Laurent Garnier, Jungle, Amine K, HAAi, Jyoty, KOSH, Nooriyah, and TSHA. Leading the new additions is the famously innovative UK DJ and producer Joy Orbison who expertly blends house, dubstep, UK funky, garage and jungle. Palestinian electronic trailblazer and activist Sama’ Abdulhadi also lines up, along with Mexico’s Paurro who mixes up deep, minimal, uplifting and melodic sounds in her expressive sets.
 
Having performed at the last two editions of Oasis Festival, Rinse FM host and one of the underground’s most loved figures Jyoty returns this year and will curate a stage on Sunday. It will feature Rex Club resident and Mauritian club music maestro GЯEG, Brussels-based Blck Mamba who brings her Nigerian heritage into the percussive club sounds she lays down, the infectious energy and upbeat sounds of Cuban-Spanish DJ and Honey Club co-founder Toccororo, and more to be confirmed.
 
As always, Oasis Festival has a strong showing of Moroccan artists. The Pool Stage, curated by Somnii – a collective committed to showcasing and developing talent from North Africa – will present electro explorer and Casa Voyager label founder Driss Bennis aka OCB who brings fast-paced bass, DJ, producer and singer-songwriter GJ Leith who is known for lighting up clubs with urban sounds from all over the world, Guedra Guedra who artfully splices Moroccan culture with global bass, Polyswitch who runs Mouhcine Zouitina and has a flare for playing all across the club spectrum, and Retro Cassetta who uses 80s and 90s cassettes from Morocco and North Africa to lay down beguiling mixes of traditional sounds as well as funk, disco and rock. Joining these new additions at the Pool Stage will be previously announced acts KOSH, performing live, and Yaya.
 
After two years on the road with ‘Oasis: Into the Wild’, introducing adventurous music fans to explore lesser known regions of Morocco, Oasis is now returning to one of the festival’s best-loved locations. The Source, with its lush gardens, winding walkways, azure pools, and stunning views of the nearby Atlas Mountains, will provide the perfect backdrop for this year’s edition of Morocco’s pioneering electronic music festival.

Oasis Festival 2024 takes place from 6-8 September 2024 at The Source in Marrakech. With the lineup heating up and more incredible artists still to come, tickets are set to fly.
