BUTCH TO RELEASE NEW EP „DOPE“ ON „PLAY IT SAY IT“

Now ­ in the follow up to his „Songs About Unconsciousness“ EP on Watergate Records, Butch returns with his „Dope“ EP: a funk­indebted package of taught and effective House music.

The title track kicks things off with a rich textural atmosphere sat atop tumbling bongos and a steadily circling riff. Additive percussion and distant vocal tones build momentum in a pure dance floor groove before „Praise The Lord“ rolls out Butch’s take on a classic Big John Hamilton break. Mangled, delayed vocals stream in ahead of an elongated breakdown that’s guaranteed to send the floor into rapture in another prime addition on the Seth Troxler’s „Play It Say It“ imprint.
